Over the last few years, self-love journals have helped me to make great strides in the way that I love myself.
Through regular prompts and exercises, I began to embrace my strengths and learned to prioritize myself.
It took a lot of commitment and intention, and it was so worth it!
I’ve always journaled, though not always consistently.
Whenever I’d fall out of practice, life would catch up with me, and I’d fall back into journaling to manage my feelings, explore my thoughts, and work out challenges in a safe way.
The more I write, the better I am at identifying patterns and gaining clarity.
Once I made journaling a regular practice, my compassion and understanding of myself grew, and I started to fall in love with myself again!
I don’t want self-love to stop with me, though. I want my kids to be confident, resilient, and self-assured, too.
The pressures of social media, peer pressure, and schoolwork can be a lot.
Building self-love can be challenging task.
One way I encourage my teenager to cultivate self-love is by encouraging her to journal.
I lead by example by sharing how much the self-reflection benefits me.
My daughter was able to see the foundation of my self-confidence and self-love being fortified by my journaling practice.
She has incorporated writing into her daily routine now, too.
I wanted to share the self-love journals that I enjoyed working through the most.

Okay, so this little book packs a big punch! It’s not a journal per se, but I had to add it in because the self-care practices lay a great foundation for self-love.
Here’s another self-love journal whose subtitle says it all, “Build Confidence, Release Self-Doubt, and Embrace Who You Are.” This workbook is beautiful! In the design, but especially in the prompts, it’s clear this journal’s author values teen girls. Really liked this one for my daughter.
I love the prompts in this journal! They go beyond the surface and guide journalers in getting to know themselves on a more intimate level. .
The subtitle of this journal is: Empowering Exercises to Build Self-Compassion and Nurture Your True Self, and this journal does exactly that. The tone of this book is inspiring and gentle. Working through it, I felt like I was sharing my soul with a sisterfriend.
This journal’s subtitle is: Uplift Your Daughter and Help Her Develop Confidence, Overcome Insecurities, Embrace Mindfulness & Cope with the Challenges of Being a Teenager. Uh, sold!
Is pampering one of your love languages? If so, you’ll love this decadent self-care spiral journal. It’s a little pricier than the other journals, but you deserve the extra sparkle!
